I have a Disability and I'm Interested in Working on Your Farm.

  We begin all participants with a 12-week "Skills of Employment" training program. During this period, you will receive one-on-one support from a disability support worker who will teach you the essential skills needed to thrive on a farm.

The training includes:

  • Effective communication with co-workers, supervisors, and customers
  • Using a rostering app and checking your shifts
  • Organizing for you shifts
  • Getting organised for shifts
  • Ensuring workplace safety
  • Understanding chicken welfare
  • Monitoring feed and water for livestock
  • Caring for working dogs
  • Inspecting fences
  • Collecting eggs
  • Washing and sorting eggs
  • Delivering eggs
  • Maintaining chicken caravans
  • Seed propagation
  • Soil health management
  • Food composting
  • Basics of permaculture
  • And most importantly, having fun! 😊
